DO DRUGS MAKE OR BRAKE THE IMAGE OF OUR WELL-KNOWN ARTIST IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY?

For many years, the relationship amongst drugs and creativity has always been a recurring love affair, a juicy taboo that questions inspiration and credibility behind music.

The truth remains that some of the most respected legends and creators of all time were known or suspected to have dropped a substance or two (if not addicted) for a little inspiration enhancement. Now this is where PR comes in, does this makes the duty of PR people easy or difficult? because we all know that PRP's can make or brake them... well I will let you decide on that one
Marijuana (www.google.com)

Here is an example that got us totally intrigued

our one and only well-known and loved Bieber is on drugs and does not deny it he also wrote on his close reading instagram where he was stating that he is not going to rehab, how does this impact on his image? I'll be waiting for your view on this one my friends.. we all know that things have not being so good for Bieber does this continue to make him an iconic figure in the public or does it ruin his reputation? here is also a video proving that Bieber is on drugs and does not hide it.

There's no such thing as bad publicity

Truth is every musician is on the hunt for media coverage and getting that coverage can be a hustle. Now this where we the PR people or publicists, as known in the music industry, come in. We serve as the bridge between musicians and the media making sure that the musician gets the media exposure.

An artists PR can make or break them. Look at the career of Britney Spears and Madonna or even todays hottest artists like Lady Gaga or Kanye West, they all have one thing in common. They are always in the news. Let us take a look at artists who are on the news for all the bad reasons. the question is whether or not the bad publicity its hurting their brand, I will let you decide.

1.Number one of our list is none other than...JUSTIN BIEBER

Things are not looking good for Justin Bieber. The singer who was introduced to us as sweet and talented kid has not been acting very sweet lately. He has taken on tweeter to complain about his birthday, was photographed wearing as gas mask threating to attack the paparazzi and to top things up he fainted on stage. Not very sweet of Justin Bieber now is it?

After Chris Brown assaulted singer Rihanna things has been going bad for Chris. In Sweden posters promoting the artists concert were branded with Rihanna's  battered face by violent abuse protesters. As if that is not bad in the U.K someone pasted warning labels on the artists album reading "WARNING: Do Not Buy This Album. This man beats women!"

Lady Gaga is no stranger to controversy but some the attention is for all the wrong reasons. Lady gaga was accused of ripping off the victims of the Tohoku earth quake and Tsunami that caused a lot of damage in Japan. The star designed and promoted using Twitter a wrist brand in which all proceeds went toward the victims...well turns out some of the proceeding went into her pocket...really bad.
